I was a young child when I first saw 'The Snail' by Matisse. That first view, of such simple abstract coloured joy, awoke in me what has become a lifelong creative obsession.

My formal creative journey started at St Martins School of Art where I studied graphic design and film.

My first job at Lambie Nairn & Company gave me the opportunity to design and direct title sequences and brand identities. Here I created The BBC Nine O’clock News titles and the brand identities for BBC1 & BBC2 leading to BAFTA and D&AD awards. I then moved to Rose Hackney Barber Productions, where I became a partner, creating multi award winning cinema & television advertisements for brands such as Sony, Adidas & BMW.

As founding partner of Knucklehead Productions I continued to direct numerous award winning advertisements.

My career also led me to direct three feature films, namely: 'The Tonto Woman' for which I was Oscar nominated, 'Harry Brown' starring Michael Caine and 'The Keeping Room' starring Hailee Steinfeld & Sam Worthington.

Now, in my new life as a fine artist, design and colour once again shape my art and creativity.
